This was posted on High Council Boards:
I am glad to see all the old faces returning and interest in the role play increasing. The High Council needs over hauling and there are opportunities for improvement in participation.
1. I like the idea of making it easier for groups in Britania to participate in the government. Making the High Council more inclusive should be a priority.
2. In my opinon the HC should never try to govern outside of its current territory. The High Council's interactions with Tokuno, Malas and other such areas should be "nation to nation"
3. The USC should be the organization that any group ..evil good...Britanian or Tokuno can come to seek a platform for their position, problems or seek mediation.
More importantly a change in attitude towards those who seek to interact and join us. We need to be finding new ways to interact with other cities and groups. Instead of frustrating someone who is trying to start a new city government by throwing up barriers and "red tape".
I have been guilty of resenting those that I perceived as having left the community (High Council) only to show up complaining every full moon at a Council Meeting or on the boards.
Everyone can point fingers at "what has not been done" or rehash old injuries. That is not going to be productive. Those that remained active and trying to keep things going should welcome the renewed interest.
It is time to put up or shut up. Actions will speak louder than words. When it is all said and done what we do in game is going dictate whether the Great Lakes Role Play comes together and becomes a thriving community again or whether we remain as splintered groups mired in their own view point of "How things should be".
I am open to any ideas on how we can not only implement the needed changes but overcome our differences. If any one wants to contact me (whether you agree or disagree) my icq is 196044076.
